아주대학교는 ESG(환경·사회·거버넌스) 목표, 테마, 관련 고려사항을 투자 결정의 핵심 동인으로 삼아 효과적인 재무 분석을 결합한 포괄적인 투자방식으로 다양한 접근 방식을 가진 지속가능한 투자를 추구합니다.

아주대학교는 재정 자원의 책임 있는 관리인이 될 것이며 투자 정책 및 관행에서 윤리적 및 사회적 책임을 신중하게 행사할 것이다. 또한 기관 기금에 적용되는 신탁 및 투자 표준을 준수할 것입니다.

대학은 유엔 글로벌 이니셔티브의 원칙을 지지함으로써 지속가능성을 위해 노력하고 있습니다. 대학은 인권을 존중하고, 노동 조건을 개선하고, 환경을 보호하고, 부패를 방지하기 위해 노력하고 있습니다.

대학은 투자자문과 투자관리자들이 투자선별과 투자관행을 통해 긍정적인 행동을 장려하고 부정적인 행동을 억제하는 방식으로 행동하기를 기대합니다. 또한, 대학은 UN 글로벌 이니셔티브와의 연관성에 대한 특정 약속이 있는 투자에 대해서도 호의적으로 검토할 것입니다.

아주대학교의 지속가능한 투자 목표는 다음과 같습니다.

투자 성과를 개선하기 위해 ESG 요소(기후 변화 위험과 기회 포함)를 투자 의사 결정 과정에 통합하고, 이는 대학의 신탁 의무와 일치해야 합니다.
대학의 상장 지분, 부동산 및 인프라 포트폴리오의 탄소 배출량을 가능한 경우 전반적인 투자 목표와 일치하도록 개선합니다.

Ajou University takes ESG (environmental, social, and governance) goals, themes, and related considerations as key drivers of investment decisions, and pursues sustainable investment with a diverse approach with a comprehensive investment method combining effective financial analysis.

Ajou University will prudently exercise its social responsibility in its debt management and practices, which are responsible for its financial resources. We will also comply with fiduciary and disciplinary standards applicable to research foundations.

Ajou University also supports the principles of the United Nations Global Compact. These principles focus on operating in ways that meet fundamental responsibilities in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

Ajou University expects its advisors and managers to act in a way that promotes positive behaviours and discourages negative behaviours through their investment screening and practices. The University will also look favourably upon investments with specific commitments regarding alignment with the UN Global Compact.

Ajou University’s Sustainable Investment objectives are:

Improve investment outcomes by integrating ESG factors, including climate change risk and opportunity, into the investment decision‐making process, consistent with the University’s fiduciary duties.
Improve the carbon footprint of the University’s listed equity, property and infrastructure portfolios where possible and compatible with its overall investment objectives.
